At Ghiringhelli Specialty Foods, we bring over 40 years of culinary and operational excellence to the ready-to-eat food industry. From flame-grilled proteins to fully custom meal solutions, we blend culinary expertise with scalable food manufacturing, empowering brands to grow, innovate, and lead in today’s competitive market.

At Ghiringhelli Specialty Foods, we proudly use organic-certified, Non-GMO ingredients, and clean-label recipes in every product we craft. From flame-grilled proteins to fresh salads, handhelds, and entrées, our premium, scalable solutions are built on a foundation of bold flavor, consistent quality, and uncompromising food safety. As an SQF-certified, USDA- and FDA-regulated facility, food safety isn’t just a standard—it’s our promise. 

Our Roots

We opened our first food manufacturing plant in 1987 — a modest 2,500 sq. ft. facility built to meet the growing demand for fresh, ready-to-eat meals. Since then, we’ve expanded our footprint, capabilities, and team, but our core values have remained the same: culinary excellence, quality without compromise, and rigorous food safety.

Today, we operate from a 55,000 sq. ft. facility in Vallejo, California, serving partners across the country with decades of industry experience. 

Leadership & Legacy

Founded by industry veterans Mike Ghiringhelli and Ed Ferrero, and now powered by second-generation leadership including Mike Ghiringhelli Jr., Ghiringhelli Specialty Foods combines legacy and innovation to lead in the RTE (ready-to-eat) space. 

With a leadership team that brings both business vision and culinary expertise, we’ve built a reputation for quality, safety, and lasting partnerships.

Culinary Innovation at Our Core

Our in-house R&D team is led by chefs Paul Marner and Maurice Sainte Yves, each bringing over 40 years of culinary experience. From global flavor development to dietary trends like plant-based or high-protein, our chefs co-create with clients to turn ideas into scalable, market-ready products.
